GUNSMITHING & BARREL BREAK IN PERIOD
The straight forward answer is NO! Our proprietary dimensions provide a better lock up, higher level of accuracy and a glove like fit. These dimensions are larger than OEM/factory dimensions intentionally. Although Glocks and M&Ps are great firearms with an outstanding reputation, often the tolerances & dimensions in a factory or aftermarket brand can vary drastically. Our ultra match barrels are produced with extremely consistent tolerances, this is what sets our barrels apart. The tight tolerances & proprietary dimensions that come with our barrels are not a 100% match for every single firearm that is produced due to the varying tolerances within the various different brands. On very rare occasions this can cause our barrels not to fit properly without force fitting or minor fitting. It may also be required that you “break in” the barrel. We strongly encourage you to break your firearm in with the original factory/stock barrel before replacing it with our ultra match barrel.
We typically recommend that you install the barrel, and rack the slide roughly 50 times. Please be sure that when racking the gun, there are no rounds or mags in the firearm. If you feel you are about to damage something during the install, please do not proceed. If you are successful at installing the barrel, there is a 100-200 round break in period which is typically in these rare occurrences. We recommend that you use a variety of ammunition during the break in process. Once the firearm functions without failure, the break in process is completed!
Notice: It is not uncommon to have FTF or FTE throughout the break in period.

BARREL TROUBLESHOOT & BARREL WEAR INFO
With our lifetime warranty, you can send your barrel in at any point in time to be recoated free of charge.
All coatings on The Blacklist Ultra Match Barrels are designed to hold up to extreme conditions. However, there may be a point in which you experience significant signs of wear on your Ultra Match Barrel. Mainly during the initial “break in” period. Blacklist Industries Ultra Match Barrels have larger dimensions and tighter tolerances compared to factory/oem barrels. The high quality in manufacturing that goes into each and every one of our barrels is something that we pride ourselves on. Each Glock differs when it comes to dimensions & tolerances. Our tight tolerances and larger dimensions paired with various slide tolerances and friction from the firearm are factors that cause signs of coating wear. Coating wear is not an issue to be concerned about and is typically unavoidable/inevitable. We shall not change our tolerances and dimensions to accommodate any cosmetic or coating appeal, doing so will decrease the barrels accuracy and performance. The cosmetics of our barrels are simply an added perk to its performance. Refunds will not be accepted under any basis due to coating wear.
This is absolutely normal and will NOT affect the reliability or accuracy of your firearm. There may be a point in which you experience signs of wear on your Ultra Match Barrel, specifically in the locking lug area.

There may be a point in which you experience signs of abnormal deformation/bending to your original guide rod, specifically the Glock 4th Generation models. This is a rare occurrence.
We have found that this will NOT affect the reliability or accuracy of your firearm. However we still strongly recommend that you purchase our Stainless Steel Guide Rod to eliminate this issue and prevent bending.
